Pipe Beveling
--------------------------
Beveling is the process in which we form an angle between the edge of a pipe and a plane perpendicular to the surface to a certain degree, most commonly used to prepare the ends of pipes for welding. Beveling can also be used for deburring the cut tends for safety and aesthetic reasons. Beveling can be applied to the face of any size or diameter of a pipe.
Grooving

Grooved mechanical piping can offer improved constructability, speedy expansion, retrofit and turnaround, and also reduce safety risks. It is a quality pipe-joining method.
What is the Purpose of Grooved Pipes?
Fire sprinkler system installations consist of piping. These pipes hold permanent water that is automatically released when a fire is detected. Because of the water stored in these pipes, they are under a lot of pressure. Therefore, the plumbing must be properly connected.
The grooves at both ends of the two pipe ends can be connected together with a water spray pipe joint. Grooves in the pipes ensure that the pipes can be connected securely with sprinkler couplings.
Cut Groove vs. Roll Groove
When forming a roll groove, a pipe is cold formed to make a circular and extensive groove in the pipe. A groove is created without removing any pipe material. This is a new method compared to the cut groove, where pipe material is physically removed from the outside diameter of the pipe. Thereby, a groove is effectively cut into the pipe. Since no material is effectively removed with the roll groove, less waste remains than with a cut groove. Therefore, little cleaning work is required which subsequently speeds up the process of grooving pipes. Roll grooving can be applied on both heavy and light-walled pipes without weakening them against any corrosions. However, if the pipe wall is too thick, cut grooving the pipe will provide a more reliable groove.
Pipe Slotting

Slots furnished in sizes from 1.900" to 20" OD. Our slot size capabilities range from 0.012” to .500” and ¼” – ½” round holes. All of our machines use a continuous flow of biodegradable coolants to maintain the pipe’s metallurgical integrity.
Sindara steel can slot or round hole perforate a wide range of materials, such as carbon grades, alloys, stainless steel. We are capable of creating complete turnkey packages as easily as we can slot or perforate customer-owned materials.
Threading

The thread dimension refers to the major diameter or outside measurement.
The pitch is the distance from the peak of one crest to the opposite of another.
The thread angle is the difference between the threads or the valley between the peaks.
Common Pipe Thread Types
NPT or NPS(national pipe tapered or straight): Most common in North America
MIP or FIP(male or female iron pipe): Same thread dimensions as NPT
BSP(T) or BSP(S)(British standard pipe tapered or straight): Most common in Europe
Compression: A unique threaded fitting that does not mate with other thread types
UNS(National Unified Special): Some compatible with compression fittings
