"Pot-Groove Clamp-Type Butterfly Valve" is a combined name that describes a valve that combines the structural features of a "grooved (clamp) connection" and a "wafer-type butterfly valve." Simply put, a pot-groove clamp-type butterfly valve is a wafer-type butterfly valve body with grooved ends. It lacks flanges and is clamped between two pipes using a pair of clamps.
